Shirazi salad

The shirazi salad is made from three main ingredients. It is a Persian salad that is originated from and named after Shiraz in southern Iran. A perfect starter for almost any main course and also ideal if you are looking for a tasty (vegetable) side dish. It's colorful, super tasty and ready very quickly!

Ingredients for 4 persons

  • Three cucumbers

  • Four large tomatoes

  • Two red onions

  • A bunch of fresh mint

  • Lemon juice from one lemon

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Cut the cucumbers, tomatoes and onions into small cubes and chop the mint. Then add together in a bowl and season it with lemon juice, olive oil and salt and pepper. Mix it well and to make it even juicier and tastier, you can put it covered in the fridge for 30 minutes. Enjoy your fresh salad!

Tip: also delicious with a pita bread and tahini!
